57 Rwandan refugees abducted by FARDC in Fizi South Kivu
According to sources from Bukavu, 57 Rwandan refugees were abducted by FARDC soldiers in Rurimba, Fizi in the South Kivu Province. This group of refugees were trying to seek refuge in Zambia. They are thought be in transit to a Bukavu detention centre where several other refugees are being held in very precarious conditions, including women whose only crime is that their husbands were ship to a prison in Lisala in the Equateur, Province where they have been been undergoing all kinds of mistreatment at the hands of FARDC. According to a UN source, the Congolese military is planning to ship all the Refugees from both Walungu and Kanyabayonga to Gbadolite.
