L'année dernière, le président Obama a téléphoné au président rwandais Paul Kagame pour le tenir au courant des conséquences dommageables du rapport des Nations Unies impliquant le Rwanda dans la déstabilisation de la RDCongo par le biais de financements multiples au mouvement rebelle du M23 accusé de terrorisme.
L'ancien ambassadeur de Kagame aux Etats-Unis vient à son tour de proposer que le président rwandais soit soumis au détecteur de mensonge, concernant l'assassinat du président Habyarimana dont la mort avait déclenché les masssacres de 1994.
"J'invite le président Paul Kagame à se soumettre avec moi au détecteur de mensonge (test polygraphique), sous la supervision internationale, sur la question de savoir qui a abattu l'avion du président Habyarimana en 1994", a déclaré Monsieur Théogène Rudasingwa.
En 2012, ce dernier avait témoigné devant le juge anti-terroriste français, Marc Trévidic, pour confirmer que Paul Kagame était bel et bien le responsable de l'attentat du 6 avril 1994 à Kigali, attentat au coutrs duquel le président rwandais Habyarimana, son homologue burundais, Ntaryamira et leurs suites avaient péri.
"Nous pourrions tous les deux nous soumettre au détecteur de mensonge sous les auspices d'un panel d'enquêteurs internationaux constitué par l'Union Africaine et les Nations Unies", a ajouté l'ancien ambassadeur.

Last year president Obama phoned to warn him over a damning UN report implicating Rwanda in sponsoring M23 the army accused of widespread terrorism in Congo. His former ambassador wants him to take a lie-detector test over assassination that sparked 1994 massacres.
[Op-Ed]I am inviting President Paul Kagame to join me in taking a lie-detector (polygraph) test, under international supervision, on the question of who shot down President Juvenal Habyarimana's plane in 1994.
In April 2012, I testified before the French Judge, Marc Trevidic, to confirm that President Paul Kagame is responsible for the shooting down of the aircraft in which President Habyarimana of Rwanda, President Ntaryamira of Burundi and all others on board perished.
Both of us could take the test under the auspices of a joint panel of investigators constituted by the African Union and the United Nations.
Dr. Theogene Rudasingwa was Rwanda's former ambassador to the United States in Gen. Kagame's government. He now lives in the U.S.
