Rwanda Bridge builders (RBB), a coalition of 37 organizations, would like to convey to you our warmest congratulations on your election as the 46th president of The United States of America. Your coming into the Oval Office brings new hope for peace and security in the Great Lakes region and Rwanda which has become the epicenter of regional destabilization. We are confident that you became familiar with the region when you were Vice President of the United States of America, and aware that the mains causes that trigger conflicts in the region include impunity and the lack of political rights and freedoms. Our coalition brings together political and civil society organizations to look at the root causes of the cycle of political violence and chart a common pathway to durable peace and stability in Rwanda and the Great Lakes region of Africa. We look forward to working with your government to promote peace and security in the region. Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of our highest consideration.
