DISPARITION DE M. J.B. ICYITONDERWA, SECRÉTAIRE GÉNÉRAL CHARGÉ DE LA MOBILISATION AU PS-IMBERAKURI
COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE N° 07/P.S.IMB/012
Rappelant des persécutions et les enlèvements continus à l’encontre des militants et responsables du parti social IMBERAKURI ;
Se basant particulièrement sur la disparition de Mr Jean-Baptiste ICYITONDERWA, Secrétaire Général chargé de la Mobilisation, le parti social IMBERAKURI informe le peuple rwandais et les amis du Rwanda de ce qui suit :
Le Secrétaire Général du parti chargé de la mobilisation est porté disparu depuis le mercredi 7 mars 2012. Sa disparition survient après la chasse à l’ à l’homme dont il était victime depuis que nous préparions la comparution en l'appel du Président – Fondateur du parti, Me Bernard NTAGANDA du 05 mars 2012. Nous vous avons informé régulièrement des persécutions qui ont entouré ce procès. Les personnes non encore identifiées, mais, agissant clairement pour le compte des services de sécurité du pouvoir ont commencé à le traquer dès le 4 mars 2012 vers 16h00. Tard dans la soirée, vers 21h00, deux d’entre elles ont attaqué sa résidence. Ne le voyant pas à la maison, ces assaillants se sont alors attaqués à un jeune enfant qu’ils y ont rencontré et l’ont tabassé et blessé au visage.
La disparition de Mr Jean-Baptiste ICYITONDERWA survient après l'enlèvement par la police nationale de REMERA de la Trésorière du parti du 31 janvier 2012 au 2 février 2012 et la tentative d'enlèvement et d’assassinat de Mr Dominique SHYIRAMBERE, Président du parti dans le district de GASABO dans la soirée du 06 mars 2012. Trois agents de police, armés, ont alors tenté de l’arrêter, mais, la population du quartier est vite intervenue, ce qui l’a aidé à pouvoir s’échapper et s’en fuir.
Le Parti Social IMBERAKURI est dès lors très inquiet et préoccupé par la disparition de Mr Jean-Baptiste ICYITONDERWA de temps plus que depuis sa disparition, nous avons contacté tant la police que différentes autorités, mais, au lieu de nous venir en aide, nous nous rendons compte que les agents de sécurité lancés à notre chasse se multiplient. Tout ceci s’inscrit dans la politique d’intimidation du pouvoir pour tenter de nous faire taire et disparaître. Cependant, elles oublient qu’en aucun cas, la politique de la terreur n’a jamais résolu les problèmes des citoyens.
Le Parti Social IMBERAKURI appelle de nouveau le régime de Kigali d'arrêter de terroriser la population, de privilégier plutôt le dialogue inclusive et d’accepter l’esprit critique car c’est la seule façon de résoudre des problèmes dont fait face le peuple rwandais.

Recalling continuing persecutions and kidnappings of the social party IMBERAKURI members;
Based especially on the disappearance of the Secretary General in Charge of Mobilization, Mr. Jean - Baptiste ICYITONDERWA, the social party P.S. IMBERAKURI would like to inform Rwandan people, and friends of Rwanda the following;
Since Wednesday, March 7, 2012, the Secretary General of the party in charge of mobilization has disappeared. His disappearance occurs following the acts of hunting him down that started when we were preparing and waiting for the trial in appeal of the President of the party Me Bernard NTAGANDA. We alerted the public on that concern on March 5, 2012. At that time, unidentified people but clearly working for the security organs started to hunt him down on March 4, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM when two of the assailants attacked his residence. When they found out he was not at home, the assailants hurt and injured a young man.
The disappearance of Jean - Baptiste ICYITONDERWA follows the kidnapping by the national police in REMERA of the Treasurer of the party from January 31, 2012 to February 2, 2012 and of the kidnapping and assassination attempt on the person of Mr. Dominique SHYIRAMBERE, President of the party in the District of GASABO on the evening of March 6, 2012. Three armed men in that failed operation had to flee the scene when the population in the area came to his rescue.
The Social Party IMBERAKURI is very concerned by the disappearance of Mr. Jean - Baptiste ICYITONDERWA especially because when we contacted national police and other authorities, instead of getting an appropriate response, we realize that security organs operatives hunting us down are increasing their activities with the aim to muzzle us. They forget that nowhere terror has solved the grievances of the population.
The Social Party IMBERAKURI once again demands to the Kigali regime to stop terrorizing the population and instead give a privilege to an inclusive dialogue by accepting dissenting voices, the only way to solve numerous problems facing by the Rwandan people.
